Quality Trust is proud to support Project ACTION! as they co-sponsor with People on the Go of Maryland a joint self-advocacy conference: “Self-Advocacy in Motion: 30 Years and Beyond” on Friday, September 13, at the Bethesda Marriott from 8:30am – 6:00pm. The conference will be followed by a 30th Year Anniversary celebration from 4:00pm – 6:00pm to recognize the impactful advocacy work of each group in their respective locales and awards will be presented.
The Bethesda Marriott is located at 5151 Pooks Hill Road, Bethesda, MD 20814. Shuttle service will be provided from the Bethesda Metro to the Hotel.
This conference is for self-advocates (new and experienced), disability professionals, parents, support staff and administrators, and others interested in how to best support advocacy and self-advocacy for adults with disabilities. There is a special track for disability support professionals also to learn how to best support and pursue a career serving others.
There will be an opportunity to test out accessible Voting Machines, register to vote, learn how to keep yourself safe online and on the phone, and so much more.
