Collaborating with Local Business
Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities welcomes the support and collaboration of local businesses. This can take several forms:
Emergency Funds: When an adult or a family has an emergency, Quality Trust supports people on a case by case basis. These problems can arise and Quality Trust wants to solve issues fast! These include
- Money to keep utilities going,
- Clothes like winter coats,
- Equipment like glasses or adaptive equipment
- Emergency transportation to doctors or hospitals
Family Holiday Celebration Volunteers and gifts: Thanksgiving and Christmas are a time of need and tradition. Many of our families do not have the funds for holiday meals, toys, presents or celebrations. At Thanksgiving, Quality Trust collects funds and non-perishable food to
distribute to families. Here’s how you can help!
- Store cards
- Fresh canned goods
- Money for prepared meals
- Volunteers to distribute meals
For the December holidays, Quality Trust holds a Family Celebration. What’s needed are: Volunteers to assist us during the celebration
- Lots of toys for kids – the very young and teens
- Gifts for parents
- Financial support for the celebration itself
- Non-perishable food to take home
There’s More! Company internal fundraising drives – company matching gifts for individual contributions - United Way (9339) and Combined Federal Campaign designations (33317) or fairs - opportunities for jobs and internships for one of our members.
Your employee talent in finance, marketing, development, in-kind contributions are always needed for Quality Trust. For these and other ideas - please call Nadine Hathaway, Director of Development at 202-448-1445 or email nhathaway@dcqualitytrust.org with your ideas.
