Quality Trust 2009 Annual Report
Our 2009 Annual Report gives you a snapshot of how Quality Trust makes a difference in the lives of the people we meet and represent. The stories in our Annual Report illustrate the struggles and triumphs of people with developmental disabilities in the District of Columbia. The stories tell of the wide range of people we support adn the ways that we help. While we are involved in many activities, our efforts our focused and coordinated through our "advocacy" to make more opportunities and better outcomes available to the people with developmental disabilities who depend on our assistance.
Beyond Forest Haven DVD
This inspirational video looks back at the history of Forest Haven, the District of Columbia’s former institution for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 1991, the District was the second jurisdiction in the nation to close the doors to its institution that segregated people with disabilities. This video is recommended for service providers, policy makers, disability professionals, self-advocates, lawyers, teachers, and community members who work and advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is accompanied by a study guide to facilitate discussion about the key issues portrayed in the video. $15.00 each (includes shipping and handling fees). To purchase the video or for more information contact Phyllis Holton at 202-448-1458 or pholton@dcqualitytrust.org
