Disability Support Professional Training
Life Choice Planning - Quality Trust offers training and technical support to service provider staff to do effective life choice planning for people with developmental disabilities in the District. Technical support can be provided for a support team supporting one or more people and group training can be offered for staff members.
Guardianship - Alternatives to Guardianship and are offered to disability support professionals and other service provider staff to educate them about how to best support people with disabilities to experience a full, quality life; making the decisions they are able to and exercising their rights and access to all they desire.
Healthcare Education Series - This series is offered only to RN's and LPN’s with a valid District of Columbia health care license. Trainings are designed to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities are being supported with the best possible quality of care that is designed to address their unique health needs. Facilitated by a certified developmental disabilities nurse (CDDN), topics range from Psychotropic Medications to Epilepsy Management.
Attendees must pre-register for each class by calling Lisa Schauf at 202-459-4010, on-site registrations will not be accepted.
